Description: Cannabis is an herbal remedy that has been used for thousands of years to augment the sexual experience and to treat pain and anxiety.  In recent years, cannabis legalization has made it more accessible to the public and increased opportunities for research on the benefits of cannabis on a wide range of health conditions.  In this workshop, we will review the actions of the endocannabinoid system and how the constituents of cannabis interact with it to produce its effects.  We will also review the latest research on the use of cannabis to treat pain, anxiety, and PTSD as well as the data on the role of cannabis in enhancing sexual functioning and pleasure.
