Approach to Supervision:
Â
As a supervisor, Dr. Sexton’s approach to supervision is rooted in creating a safe and supportive environment for exploration and growth. She believes in empowering the clinician to utilize internal strengths and recognizing areas of growth through a collaborative supervision relationship. Dr. Sexton believes in bringing curiosity, inclusiveness, and authenticity to the supervision and therapeutic spaces. She encourages supervisees to self-reflect, explore personal beliefs and attitudes towards sexuality while encouraging autonomy to build upon existing training and competency.
