In this SAR, you will learn about your sexological worldview, how it has developed over the course of your life, and how it has been shaped by your own personal positionality and standpoint. You will learn how your sexological worldview interacts with others’ worldviews, and plan its future development so that you can shape it to best support your professional practice and how you can affirm, support, and include your clients holistically in your work together. In this SAR, you will take the Sexological Worldview Development Inventory to get feedback on your development, and we will use the Sexological Worldview Development Workbook, a tool to help you develop self-awareness, identify goals, and create your plan and professional development activities for the future. The Sexological Worldview Development SAR is based on adult learning theory and perspective transformation theory, so it will be interactive and engaging and will feature opportunities for discussion, to learn new information about sexology across cultures and diverse experiences, and provide you with a framework to transform yourself into the most inclusive practitioner you want to be.
