Fears related to regret, detransition, uncertainty, and rejection are some of the most common anxieties of clients who are exploring gender. This workshop will begin the conversation about how to affirm and support our gender-diverse clients struggling with transition-related fears through reframing, emotional regulation skills, and current research on minimizing medical regret. This workshop focuses on clients 18+.
Participants will describe how to support gender-exploring clients with common fears related regret and detransition through reframing, right-sized expectations, and science-based skills for minimizing the possibility of medical regret.
