In the continuation of this class, this training aims to build on the foundational concepts of Part 1.  In Part 2 of this class, we’ll be going over 8 more various aspects of business. We’ll discuss the following:

• • Developing your services; including how to tell what your client really needs, figuring out models that work for you in your industry, and establishing systems for your services
  • Delivering your services; which include distinguishing how you want to deliver your services, the pros and cons with 1-on-1 vs group coaching, and establishing your prices
  • How to diversify your income and how to figure out what’s best for you and your business
  • Presenting & speaking & seducing your audience before, during, and after you present
  • Understanding your money mindset, how to price things, and learning how to negotiate better
  • The various ways that you can be more accessible to disabled folks and sexual accessibility resources that will be helpful in your business and beyond
  •  Navigating legal and ethical concerns; including protecting your and your clients’ privacy and confidentiality, and defining your ethics
  • Overcoming challenges & achieving success; navigating stigma, managing burnout, setting goals and measuring your success, and identifying new opportunities

As you progress in your business, these aspects become more and more important and being able to come back to these to constantly define and re-define your business will help you to hone in and do the things necessary for your success as an entrepreneur.

Speaker Bio:

Marla Renee Stewart, MA (she/her) is a certified sexologist, sexual strategist, intimacy/relationship/sex coach, educator, speaker, and author. She is the owner of Velvet Lips, a sexuality education company that focuses on people to help them integrate seduction, develop their communication abilities, and enhancing their sex skills. As a faculty member at Clayton State University, she teaches Sociology and Women’s and Gender Studies. As the Co-Founder of the Sex Down South Conference, Marla aims to bring diverse groups together to learn and share their experiences in the essence of being authentic and fostering sexual liberation across communities.

She currently runs two programs; the MEE program for people who want to have better relationships with themselves and with their lovers and the Sexcessful Business Coaching program to help business owners in erotic industries move their businesses past six figures.

Marla has studied human sexuality for over 22 years, has educated over 20,000 people in over 15 years, given over 1000 workshops, and have served hundreds of clients in her private practice, all around the world. She has had her influence in the media, as well; she has written over 200 articles, featured in over 100 magazines and books, and has been on over 80 podcasts and independent television shows. She was featured on Netflix’s Trigger Warning with Killer Mike, VH1’s Love & HipHop Atlanta, and has filmed as a sex expert for many more reality shows. In addition, she also sits on the Board for American Association of Somatic Sexology.

Her educational background is also robust. She received her BA in Psychology and minored in Human Sexuality/LGBT Studies from San Francisco State University. She gained her Masters Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Gender and Sexuality, while studying for Women’s & Gender Studies certification at Georgia State University. She is currently in pursuit of her PhD in Clinical Sexology from the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes.

She co-wrote her first book, The Ultimate Guide to Seduction & Foreplay (2020) with Dr. Jessica O’Reilly and wrote a chapter and co-edited An Intersectional Approach to Sex Therapy, released December 2021. She is now working on a book, Black Feminine Dominance (working title) that hopes to be released in 2024.
